This very historic country pub dates back to 1348 and was originally built as a masons cottage for the church. It comprises two bars with open fire, an upstairs restaurant and garden with stunning views of the countryside that were captured by renowned artist Turner. Real ales are Harveys Best, Harveys Old and Weltons Old Harry.
The Star has a good reputation for its goumet/gastro style pub food that is all home made and served every session.
